To start the Bala Gi missions you will need:

At least 10 game hours,
A good reputation with the Boron and must not be an enemy of the Split or Paranid,
Own at least one station,
5 million credits or more,

The Bala Gi missions can be done in either plot or non-plot games. When the missions are ready, you will be sent a message requesting you to dock at the shipyard in Kingdom End. A jumpdrive is highly recommended for the Bala Gi missions.
